The mandatory disclosure threshold on commercial office buildings is now 1,000 square metres. This expands the scope of the program to cover smaller office buildings and spaces and came into effect from 1 July 2017.
A BEEC (Building Energy Efficiency Certificate) will be required whenever a disclosure affected office space of 1,000 m2 of non-contiguous NLA or more is offered for lease or if a property of more than 1,000 m2 NLA is offered for sale.
The current NABERS Office Energy rating will need to be included in all
advertising.
